Kanika Global was founded by visionary entrepreneur Mrs. Swaran Setia with a single sewing machine and a strong commitment to quality.
From humble beginnings, Kanika has evolved into a business rooted in timeless values and driven by design-led innovation.
Kanika Global has partnered with leading fashion brands across the UK, France, Scandinavia and the USA, continuing a legacy built on trust, resilience, and enduring quality.
Now in its fifth decade, across three-generations, currently under the leadership of Kumud Colabavala and Rahul Setia, Kanika continues to be a trusted partner for global brands; creative, reliable, and crafted to stand out.

At 42, Mrs. Swaran Setia began her entrepreneurial journey with a single sewing machine and a ₹10,000 loan, establishing a small fabrication unit in 1977.
A chance meeting with a Canadian buyer led to Kanika being officially registered as an exporter in the summer of 1979.
Kanika evolved into a recognized couture unit, building a reputation for quality craftsmanship
and fine detailing.
Kanika diversified beyond couture into daywear, eveningwear, beachwear, and sleepwear.
Became a trusted global partner with stronger production, facilities, teams and an innovation-led approach.
Scaled operations across NCR and strengthened client engagement, Kanika is positioned as a
future-ready global company blending heritage, innovation and responsibility.
Giving back has always been an integral part of Kanika’s journey. For many years, our team has actively supported local communities through charitable initiatives, working with organisations such as Kids for Kids Trust, Goonj, and NGOs like The Earth Saviours Foundation.
From providing blankets, chairs, and stools for old-age and care homes to supplying fabric for theatre seating and community initiatives, we strive to ensure our resources benefit those who need them most. We also support the creation of toys from fabric scraps for children across villages and schools, as well as for theatre and life-skills practitioners.
Sustainability and empowerment are central to our CSR efforts. Textile waste from our factories is thoughtfully redirected either repurposed or donated to upcycling initiatives that help women create rugs and mats, generating sustainable income.
Alongside financial and material contributions, Kanika is committed to expanding its impact by encouraging team members to volunteer their time with partner organisations. As we continue this journey, we are also developing systems to measure and strengthen the long-term social and environmental impact of our efforts.
